Just Tryin' to Keep On, By the Grace of God

It’s been a very hectic week, I’ve been pressed for time and hence, this week’s Just for Your Consideration is longer than it has been being of late. That paper tends to be shorter when I have more time to edit, par down, etc. Nevertheless, I do think that all the articles in the paper are worthy of your consideration.

It seems that since I’ve retired I have less time rather than more. I sometimes get to thinking that I might need to throttle back on some things a bit. And eventually I may well need to.

Then when I get to contemplating such things one of my favorite bloggers, Mike Vanderboegh will write something like the following:

Three doctor's visits and a stress test today.Which explains the intermittent posts and comment releases. My apologies. I'm now wearing a 24-hour cardiac monitor. The principal concern of the cardio docs seems to be that my heart is slowing down. A couple of years ago my resting heart rate was around 60-65. Now it is 40-45. I'm also getting a referral to a liver cancer specialist to see if he can't do some laparoscopic state-of-the-art "zapping" of two cancerous growths on my liver. If it ain't one thing, it's another. The wound on my left foot continues to be recalcitrant about healing, so they've changed the treatment on it. Oi veh. Keep me in your prayers.

Now don't I feel like a whining wimp! 

If you don’t visit Mike’s blog every day, you are cheating yourself of some very important information and philosophy. No, I don’t agree with every word that Mike writes, but I do respect him tremendously.
