I can understand having to trade with folks whose morals you find reprehensible. Sometimes necessity or
economics give us few options.
When the Apostle Paul wrote to
the church in Corinth he acknowledged the necessity of dealing with some who
may be involved in gross sin:
1Co 5:9-10
I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company
with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or
with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs
go out of the world.
I prefer to deal with
Christians and like-minded folks whenever I can, but that is not always
possible.
What I cannot understand is
choosing to spend discretionary income – specifically “entertainment” income --
with those who hate your faith, who hate your rights, who do not respect your
property, who do not respect your liberty, and who basically hate your guts
(though not your money). All the while seeking to overturn your faith, your
morality, your culture, and your heritage with the “entertainment” they
provide.
Recently Georgia passed a Religious
Freedom Restoration Act, which was intended to recognize the religious rights
of the people of Georgia. The act would not require someone to violate their
faith and convictions by forcing them participate in events (such as sodomite
marriages) that they found to be reprehensible. Unfortunately, the bill that
was finally passed was much watered down and will only be of limited value in
actually protecting the rights of anyone. In any case, the act is now awaiting
the governor’s signature.
Several institutions have
threatened to “punish” Georgia in various ways, if the governor signs the act. Prominent
among them are the entertainment giants, Disney and the NFL. Disney has said
they will make no more movies in Georgia should the governor sign the Act and
the NFL has threatened to dismiss any consideration of Georgia as a Super Bowl
site.
Ask yourself, why in the world
would the good people of Georgia want Disney to make any of its increasingly anti-Christian
and sodomite promoting movies in the Peach State?
Why in the world would the good
people of Georgia want the sodomite embracing and anti-Christian NFL to bring
its Super Bowl and its godless halftime shows to their
fair state?
Why don’t these scum-sucking “entertainment”
vermin leave the good people of the state of Georgia alone? And why don’t we
all just tell these busybody yankees that they won’t be seeing any more of our hard
earned dollars? Really, who needs their degenerate and debasing “entertainment”? Haven't we better things to do?
UPDATE: Georgia Governor Deal caved to outside influence and vetoed the Religious Freedom Act. This is truly disgraceful. He is worthy of being tarred and feathered.
