Are we all slaves to the Amerikan state?
Perhaps even asking that question seems a bit extreme to some folks. There are, however, almost limitless examples proving this to be the case -- or at the very least, showing that the state considers this to be the case.
In the future we may explore several of these examples, but for now let’s consider just one event -- way back in the beginning – your beginning – your birth. Perhaps this will assist us in answering the question that is posed.
Consider the Matter of Your Birth Certificate
From Wikipedia:
The documentation of births is a practice widely held throughout human civilization, especially in China, Egypt, Greece, Rome, and Persia. The original purpose of vital statistics was for tax purposes and for the determination of available military manpower. Births were initially registered with churches, who maintained registers of births. This practice continued into the 19th century. The compulsory registration of births with governmental agencies is a practice that originated in the United Kingdom in 1853. The US did not get a standardized system until 1902. [emphasis added]
So, essentially, in issuing your birth certificate, the state asserted ownership of your person, your labor and your life.
That registration (birth certificate) follows you throughout your life, aiding the state in robbing you of your property (taxes) and of your life (military draft).
Are you a free, sovereign individual, or are you the property of the state? As Exhibit One, I offer your birth certificate.
I wish I had a ready solution to the dilemma posed by these uncomfortable truths, but I don’t. Perhaps the first step back to true liberty begins with an awakening to and acknowledgement of those truths. On the other hand, it’s probably easier to blindly sleep on, oblivious to all that surround us.
I am most thankful that I have true liberty in the spiritual and eternal realms in my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
John 8:32 -- And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:36 -- If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
2 Corinthians 3:17 -- Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
We ought not to kick against God’s providence, but we ought not to make it an excuse of inaction either.
There may be circumstances, for the present, that cannot be overcome – yet the Scriptures acknowledge and recommend man’s natural yearning to be free.
1 Corinthians 7:21 -- Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
If it is within our power, humanly speaking, we are admonished to seek freedom! Let us so strive!
The present political system cannot be fixed. It has gotten progressively more repressive beginning all the way back in 1776. Secession is the only possible solutions.
It must begin in your own heart and mind.
Don’t fly their repressive flag!
Don’t pledge allegiance to their immoral and tyrannical empire!
Speak up; speak out; attempt to wake those slumbering sheep that surround you.
Don’t buy into the lie that Americans are free.
We must first acknowledge our chains before we have any prospect of breaking them.
Deo Vindice!
TRUST GOD!
NEVER GIVE UP!
NEVER QUIT!
STAY IN THE FIGHT!
NEVER GIVE UP!
NEVER QUIT!
