Do I have the dreaded TDS?

More and more frequently I have folks tell me that I have “TDS”. It sounds like some dreaded disease.

Come to find out it means “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Truth is, I find very little to like about Donald J. Trump. Some assert is that he is superior to Kamala, or Biden, or Obama, etc. Well, that’s hardly a recommendation. And I’m not convinced that when it all shakes out, but that Trump will not prove to be a greater threat and harm than all those extreme leftists combined.

The greatest threat, however, is not posed by Trump himself, but rather by those self-professed “Christians” and “Southerners” who blindly and unthinkingly follow him and applaud his every action. He is a liberal New York yankee cast in the mold of his tyrannical hero Abraham Lincoln.

I don’t hate my fellow Southerners and Christians who have been deceived and have fallen under his sway; rather I pray for their awakening.

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

I’m not denying that “TDS” is a genuine danger, but it’s not “Trump Derangement Syndrome”; it is rather “Trump Deification Syndrome.”

I cannot come anywhere near to wrapping my head around the position of many other Christian and Southerners who continue to support Trump. Their devotion borders on worship. I have genuine concern for them. There is nothing that he can do that they will not make excuse for.

The man is a dangerous, immature psychopath, but it is his appeal to decent people (Christians and Southerners) that poses a far greater threat than all the blatant Communists and atheists of the left.
