The Man in the Mirror

Psalm 127:1
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Many of us claim to long for a restoration of the Republic first establish by our Revolutionary fathers in the 18th Century, or for the one established by our Confederate fathers in the 19th Century. Those are laudable goals, but if they are ever to come to fruition there must be some radical changes made.

Those changes must begin with ourselves.

Our enemies are many: cultural marxists, sodomite libertines, yankee tyrants, etc., etc.

However none of these can prevent us from being the Christian men and women that we ought to be.

None of them can force us to shack up and produce children that never know a traditional intact home with both a mother and a father that love and care for them.

None of them can force us to put away the wife of our covenant, which thing the Lord hates.

None of these can force a Christian woman to adorn herself as a tramp.

None of these can make a Christian man or woman mark their bodies with tattoos like the devotee of some pagan cult.

None of these enemies can force us to join ourselves to the world’s vile entertainments or excesses.

None of these can make a Christian send his children to the cesspools that are the government schools.

None of these can make us forsake the assembling of ourselves together with the Lord’s people.

Do you really want to see the restoration of a Biblical Constitutional Republic? Then look in the mirror and take a careful inventory of what you see there. I'll readily admit that I need to take a long, hard look at the fellow as much as anyone.

Recommit yourself to your God, to your family, to Biblical morality, and to one of the Lord’s true churches. Perhaps then the other things will begin to fall into place.

Matthew 6:33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Vote the Bums out! Vote the Bums in!

Over the next year we can expect the noise surrounding national politics to rise to a blaring crescendo.

To paraphrase Shakespeare’s Macbeth:

[Politics] is but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more: it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Can any sentient being still believe that choosing the lesser of two evils between the two established political parties means anything at all?

What was gained by voting the Republicans into power in the House and the Senate? The painfully obvious answer is, NOTHING, NOTHING AT ALL!

At this very moment, the congressional Republicans are in the process of replacing one compromising, open borders,  establishment insider with another compromising, open borders, establishment insider as their Speaker of the House. Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic! And this is what you do when you participate in national elections.

The oligarchs in the Republican party and oligarchs in the Democratic party are ALL ON THE SAME TEAM! They have precisely the same goals -- to keep you and me in the dark and to keep us as unthinking and submissive pawns in their empire.

We can make NO DIFFERENCE AT ALL by installing a new emperor over the DC empire.

Save your time, your energy and your emotions and concentrate yourself on yourself, on your family, on your local church and on your community. You have some prospect of success there.

Start to develop your own community and culture and withdraw yourself from the evil empire in every way possible.

Do not give your consent to tyranny by voting. There are much more productive things to do, indeed, almost anything would be more productive and meaningful.

I know that I’ve address this matter before, and I’ll probably be writing about it some more as November 2016 approaches. Free yourself from their system! Do NOT CONSENT! Do NOT PARTICIPATE!

Start concentrating on the things that matter. Start spending your time on more productive undertakings than national politics.

Secede in your own heart and mind and then educate others.

Carry Everywhere, Carry All the Time

I recently wrote about the importance of arming yourself. I even included some specific recommendations about various firearms.

I think it is important to consider the next step, which is actually going armed whenever and wherever possible. Doing so will help you to cultivate the right mindset. It also helps those around you to cultivate the right mindset as well, in more than one way.

Personally I advocate carrying everywhere, unless there is a very clear and present possibility of detection by metal detectors or searches.

“Prohibited areas” and “gun free zones” do not keep evil men from carrying arms into those areas. If anything it advertizes that there will be no resistance to whatever evil deeds they intend to perpetrate within those areas.

So ask yourself, why should you place yourself and your loved ones at the mercy wicked men or of spineless and idiotic politicians?

Normally the only way that it will be discovered that you are carrying is if you are forced to address a genuine threat and in those cases having a firearm will be a life and death proposition. Do you love liberty and your family enough to go armed?

No one -- no individual, no governmental entity --  has the right to tell you that you must disarm yourself.

You have a natural, God-given, preexisting right to bear arms for personal defense and for the defense of your loved ones and your property.

As the Lord said:

Luke 12:39-40  And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.  (40)  Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Note: “he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.”

The only way such things are not suffered is when illegitimate force is meet with righteous, legitimate force that is equal to or superior to it. It is up to us not to suffer such things.

The right to bear arms is recognized by the Second Amendment to the US Constitution, which state simply: “. . . the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” That right is recognized as ALREADY existing and the amendment specifically prohibits ANY infringement upon it.

It is important to exercise discretion in dealing with our tyrannical governments. They operate the police, the courts and the prisons. So is may be advisable to obtain concealed carry permits, etc., to avoid unnecessary conflicts with them. Recognize that they have power, but they DO NOT have legitimate authority in this area.

With or without government issued permissions, I think it is advisable to carry at all times. So, unless “gun free zones” and “prohibited areas” are backed up by metal detectors or physical searches, you might consider going armed in any case.

Avoid as much as possible circumstances that truly prevent you from going armed. I can’t even remember the last time I flew anywhere. I have never went through a TSA checkpoint, and I do not intend to do so.

We have a natural and God-given right to protect ourselves, our loved ones and our property, REGARDLESS of what the state may demand or allow.

Luke 22:36
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

I openly carry at my home. I openly carry in the pulpit of our church meeting house (which happens to be the bottom floor of my residence).  I openly carry at the meetings of Free Florida First, which are held in our church meeting house. I conceal carry virtually EVERY PLACE else I go. If I MUST enter a courthouse or other area through a metal detector I will leave my gun in my vehicle, otherwise I am not bound by signs or statutes that are contrary to natural, God-given law.

It is always better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

These are just my thoughts. You must decide what you will do, but you must also bear the consequences for your decisions.

If you don’t have a gun, consider getting one (or four or more)

I believe that Obama is now at his most dangerous. There is no telling what executive order he my next issue attempting to deprive you of your GOD-given natural rights. I would not be surprised at all if he should foment a civil war before he leaves the Whitehouse -- if he leaves the Whitehouse.

Bottom lineYou need to be ARMED!

Luke 22:35-36  And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.  (36)  Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

You need to be armed! Now more than ever!

If you know little or nothing about firearms, find someone who does know something, get some guidance and ARM yourself! Then get some training and some practice.

Below I have listed what I would consider to be a good start. A good start, not the ultimate goal.

  1. A liberty rifle (also known as a regime change rifle). Preferably an AR-15 style semi-automatic. Augment with at least ten 30-round magazines and 1000 rounds of ammunition.

  2. A home defense pistol. Something like a Glock 17 would work well. This can also be carried on your person or in your vehicle. Get a good holster and at least five magazines. Keep on hand at least 500 rounds of ammunition.

  3. A home defense shotgun. There are numerous 12guage pumps available for a very reasonable price. DON’T get one with only a pistol grip, though a pistol grip incorporated into a full stock is good option.

  4. A .22 rifle for practice and small game. A Ruger 10-22 or a Marlin 795 are good choices.
If you don’t think you need any of these firearms, THINK AGAIN. If you still don’t think you need any of these firearms, then I leave you with the words of Samuel Adams:

“Go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

I am not a prophet, nor the son of a prophet. I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but I expect that things are going to get very serious, very soon.

Better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. The latter is a fatal option.

A Rebel and a Traitor

This past week I have been called both a rebel and a traitor, and more than once.  It is hardly the first time either. One particular carpetbagging yankee claims that my ancestors were attempting to destroy the land in which I now live and wonders why I continue to live in the land of my oppressor.

In reality my ancestors were simply fighting for the right of self-determination. My Confederate ancestors occupied the same position occupied by my Revolutionary war ancestors. King George III of England called the American Patriots both rebels and traitors. I am proud to be associated with them and with my Confederate ancestors, though I do not count myself worthy of such men.

One of the oft quoted phrases of my Baptist ancestors was: “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.” So I count it a privilege to be considered a “rebel” by our present day tyrants and by their apologists. A more contemporary advocate of liberty has said: “There is just as much nobility in being despised by the despicable as in being admired by the admirable” (Kurt Hoffman). There is much wisdom in those words. A man is perhaps better known by those who make themselves his enemies than by those who claim to be his friends.

Today we live in a land occupied by our invaders. We have been forced into a "union" at the point of a bayonet. Why should any Southerner have any affection for such a damnable union?

This land does not belong to the oppressor. It is MY land. My ancestors bravely fought to defend it from the yankee invaders. My ancestors were not trying to destroy the Southern land, they were doing all within their power to preserve it for their posterity.

Our President, Jefferson Davis, said: “All we ask is to be left alone.” But alas, this is something which the meddling yankee is incapable of doing. He cannot leave anyone alone until that “other” has been conformed to his own perverted image.

Some words of an old poem echo in my mind:

“REBELS! ’tis a holy name! The name our fathers bore . . . Yet, freemen born and freemen bred, We’d rather live as freemen dead, Than live in slavish fear. . . Call us rebels, if you will — We glory in the name; For bending under unjust laws, And swearing faith to an unjust cause, We count a greater shame.”
[The poem was written in 1861 by an unknown citizen of Baltimore. I have reproduced it below in its entirety.]

So, let us pick up the banners and the struggle of our forebears. Perhaps God shall be pleased to restore true liberty to our occupied Southern land. May we all henceforth be counted as rebels and traitors by the illegitimate regime!

Southern Rebels
By a Baltimorean (November 25, 1861)

REBELS! ’tis a holy name!
  The name our fathers bore
When battling in the cause of Right,
Against the tyrant in his might,
In the dark days of yore.

Rebels! ’tis our family name!
  Our father, Washington,
Was the arch-rebel in the fight,
And gave the name to us—a right
  Of father unto son.

Rebels! ’tis our given name!
  Our mother, Liberty,
Received the title with her fame,
In days of grief, of fear, and shame,
When at her breast were we.

Rebels! ’tis our sealèd name!
  A baptism of blood!
The war—ay, and the din of strife—
The fearful contest, life for life—
  The mingled crimson flood.

Rebels! ’tis a patriot’s name!
  In struggles it was given;
We bore it then when tyrants raved,
And through their curses ’twas engraved
  On the doomsday-book of heaven.

Rebels! ’tis our fighting name!
For peace rules o’er the land
Until they speak of craven woe,
Until our rights receive a blow
  From foe’s or brother’s hand.

Rebels! ’tis our dying name!
  For although life is dear,
Yet, freemen born and freemen bred,
We’d rather live as freemen dead,
  Than live in slavish fear.

Then call us rebels, if you will—
  We glory in the name;
For bending under unjust laws,
And swearing faith to an unjust cause,
  We count a greater shame.
