The Republican Party has always been the enemy of the South. It always will be the enemy of the South.

Donald Trump is hardly a Savior. He is a liberal New York yankee in a long-line of imperialist Republican yankees.

For today's blog I offer an excerpt from an article by the brilliant economist and historian, Thomas DiLorenzo. I think it worthy of you consideration.

Trump’s Heroes, America’s Enemies

“In his inaugural address President Trump called President William McKinley (1897-1901) ‘great’ and proudly announced that he had changed the name of Mount Denali in Alaska back to Mount McKinley. The reason the president picked McKinley of all past presidents to heap praise upon is that McKinley was a lifelong political tool of big business, primarily Northern state manufacturers who championed protectionist tariff taxes so rabidly that he was called ‘the apostle of protectionism’ and ‘the Napoleon of protectionism.’ . . . The admitted economic ignoramus William McKinley became the political heir to the corrupt Hamiltonian ‘American System’ of corporate welfare, protectionist tariff tax plunder, and central banking. (His predecessors in that regard were Hamilton himself, replaced by Henry Clay, who was in turn replaced by Lincoln). . . . the Republican party by that time stood for imperialism, emboldened by its conquest of the South and its campaign of genocide against the Plains Indians from 1865-1890. ‘The idea of expansion and imperialism had deep roots in the Republican party.’ . . . During the McKinley administration Hawaii was annexed literally at bayonet point as the king of Hawaii was forced to sign ‘the bayonet constitution’ and disenfranchised native Hawaiians. . . . McKinley sent troops to the Philippines to quell the Philippine Insurrection, which was fought in opposition to the replacement of the Spanish empire with the American empire. Historians say as many as a million Filipino civilians were killed along with 200,000 ‘insurrectionists.’ . . . the U.S. government had finally abandoned once and for all the notion of being a mere union of states and had become an empire, the objective of all American imperialists beginning with Lincoln.”

Pastor Wilson’s Comment: DJT is no better than his heroes, Ape Lincoln and Wm McKinley. BEWARE!! Can you remember how that turned out for Southerners? WAKE UP!!!! Yankees are always meddling, and unable to just leave folks alone. They could not leave our Confederate ancestors alone. They could not leave the native Americans alone. They could not leave the Filipinos alone. They could not leave the Columbians and Panamanians alone. They cannot leave the people of Greenland alone. Ukraine, Russia, China, etc., etc., etc. Now Trump wants to extend the empire to the Gaza. It's NOT amerika's business. Ultimately the amerikan empire will bring about its own death! My trust remains in a Sovereign God!!
