IMPORTANT UPDATE: Free Florida First WILL NOT HAVE A BOOTH at the Newberry Watermelon Festival

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Free Florida First WILL NOT HAVE A BOOTH at the Newberry Watermelon Festival, this coming Saturday, May 18th.

I hate having to post this, but it cannot be avoided. I have injured both of my forearms and have difficulty and pain in attempting to lift anything. I would be impossible for me to set up our booth.

I have an MRI scheduled for Friday, May 31st, probably to be followed by surgery at a future date to be determined.

I appreciate your prayers.

Meanwhile, we shall endeavor to persevere.

ORIGINAL POST . . .

Free Florida First will have a booth at the Newberry Watermelon Festival on Saturday, May 18, 2019.  The event is held from 9am-4pm at the Country Way Town Square in Newberry, Florida. Come on out and introduce yourself to us!

Newberry Watermelon Festival Facebook Page:

Newberry Watermelon Festival Web Page (includes map):

Every year we set up booths at several area festivals. It is an opportunity to get ourselves before the public and let folks know that some of us still strive to stand in the old ways and ask for the old paths. We proudly display the banners of our fathers and encourage folks to work for a Free, Independent, Godly, Prosperous, and Traditionally Southern Florida.

Jeremiah 6:16a
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. . . .

We believe that it is increasingly important for us to show our devotion to the principles that undergirded the Confederate States of America and to make our presence known in our local community.  We strongly advocate for individual liberty and a minuscule government that is truly by the consent of the governed. Won’t you consider joining with us?

Here is an album containing more photos of our participation at last year’s festival:

So, come out to the Watermelon Festival and visit with us. Buy some flags to help support our efforts, and then go home and fly them, to show your commitment to liberty and truth.

Here’s a sample of the 3’ X 5’ flags we offer for sale at the festival for $10 each or three (3) for $25.

The proceeds from our sales help us to continue our work for liberty and truth.

Stand and show your colors and FIGHT FOR DIXIE!

By the Grace of God we will continue to do so!

Our 19th Year of Observing Confederate Memorial Day

This past weekend we marked Confederate Memorial Day at Landmark Baptist Church and Free Florida First, as we have been doing for 19 years now.

I believe that we had the smallest turnout that we have ever experienced, but we had a wonderful time of fellowship with like-minded Christians and Confederates. Lord willing, we shall continue on, and mark 20 years of observances in 2020 – and beyond. We may slightly modify some specifics, but we shall endeavor to persevere.

Our Confederate forebears deserve no less. We continue to thank God for those men and women He raised up in the mid-19th Century to stand against a centralized federal tyranny, and we strive to pick up their Cause and their banner, and to pass them on to those who will follow us as well.

Below you will find a link to a Facebook album of our remembrance and celebration.

NOTE: I don’t think you need a Facebook account to view the album, just ignore and dismiss the requests to “login” or “create an account.” Click on the first picture and you should then be able to scroll through the album.

Invitation to Confederate Memorial Day 2019

Remembering Those Who Fought for Southern Independence

On April 27th and 28th, Landmark Baptist Church and Free Florida First will jointly mark Confederate Memorial Day 2019.

According to Florida Statutes, Confederate Memorial Day is a recognized legal holiday:
http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=0600-0699/0683/Sections/0683.01.html

You will find an online invitation and details of our events here:
www.libcfl.org/invite/

We will be honoring those who so valiantly fought for our rights and liberties against the tyrannical Amerikan Empire in the middle of the 19th century. That empire is no less tyrannical today. So, more than a mere remembrance, we have dedicated ourselves to taking up their banners and their Cause. We seek a truly Free, Independent, Godly, Prosperous, and Traditionally Southern Florida.

Above is a replica of the Battle Flag of Florida’s Marion Light Artillery, in which my G-G-Grandpa, Sergeant John Cauthen Strickland, served. As the banner declares, he fought for God and for our rights as free men. By the Grace of God, I hope to continue that struggle against the increasingly evil Amerikan empire.

The Confederate soldier is most worthy of remembrance and recognition. He fought in defense of his home, his family, his way of life, and his state. In spite of the prevalent lie that the modern day storm troopers of the Amerikan empire are fighting for our freedom, the truth is that the Confederate soldier was the last veteran to fight in defense of our God-given rights.

You will NOT see are any modern US flags at our observances. We DO NOT honor the flag of the invaders of our country, not on this day – and not on any other day.

Quite simply, when it comes to the striped rag of the Amerikan empire: “Ain’t my flag; Ain’t my country.” It has not been so since 1861.

In the words of Major Innes Randolph, C.S.A. (taken from his poem, “I’m a Good Ole’ Rebel”): “I hates the Yankee nation and everything they do . . . I hates their striped banner, and . . . I'm glad I fit against it, I only wish we'd won, and I don't want no pardon for anything I done.”

From time to time, some folks will remind us that the war is over and that we should simply forget and move on. We have no intention of doing so. We happen to agree with Pastor R. L. Dabney, who served as Chief of Staff for Lt. General T. J. “Stonewall” Jackson:

“What, forgive those people who invaded our country, burned our cities, destroyed our homes, slain our young men, and spread desolation and ruin over our land? No, I do not forgive them.”

Furthermore, it’s not over yet -- not by a long shot. It’s not over as long as there are any of us who remember. It is not over as long as there are any of us still committed to picking up the banner and the Cause of our fathers and to continuing their struggle for independence and self-determination. That is why they hate our banners, our monuments, our remembrances, and above everything else – why they hate us.

We pray along with our great chieftain, Robert E. Lee, that God may be pleased to “give us a name and a place among the nations of the earth.”

If you are likewise inclined, come out and mark this day with us.

Don’t Forget Who You Are and Where You’ve Come From -- And Don’t Let Our Enemies Forget It Either!

For many years now I have been telling my wife that I’ve lived for way too long. Most often it is in reaction to the latest perverse madness that I see reported on the nightly news. But also I see what has happened to my home state. Florida has been invaded and occupied. We have been inundated by unfriendly aliens from Yankeedom, from Latin America, and even from the Middle East. Florida will never be restored to what it was in my youth. I hate to admit it, but we have been forever changed – terribly changed for the worse.

Unfortunately, this is essentially the same for all of our beloved Southland. Realistically, there seems to be no prospect for improvement. We are outnumbered and overpowered in virtually every arena.

But I do NOT have to change. My little corner of the world does NOT have to change. I will continue to fly the flags of my ancestors. I will continue to display Confederate memorabilia and portraits. We will continue to mark Confederate Memorial Day. We will continue to abjure the yankee realm. The remembrance of what Dixie was (and still is in my heart) will not disappear until they have laid this old body in the grave. And even then, I pray that there will be a remnant that still unfurls and advances the banner of truth in the face of the demonic onslaught.

This is what the front of my yard looks like 24/7:

(NOTE: Pictured is our recently departed boxer, Nathan Bedford FORREST. FORREST was a beloved friend and protector for almost 13 years. He was born on Confederate Memorial Day in 2006 and a true and faithful Confederate.)

Here is what my front fence line looks like when we meet as a church on Sunday and when Free Florida First meets on the third Monday of every month:

This is what the front of our meeting house looks like:

To the left is the Seal of the Confederacy. In the center is the flag of the Marion Light Artillery, the unit my Great-Great-Grandpa served in during the War Against Northern Aggression. The flags displayed are the Third National of the Confederacy and the flag of the Sovereign State of Florida. You will NEVER EVER see a striped yankee rag displayed here. NOT EVER!

The meeting house (and my own residence upstairs) is filled with Confederate memorabilia and paintings of Confederate heroes.

Here’s what our flag pole looks like, 24/7:

So y’all, DON’T SURRENDER, DON’T COMPROMISE, DON’T HIDE, DON’T COWER, DON’T DENY, NEVER BE ASHAMED! They may not like it, but I intend to be a thorn in the side of political correctness until the Lord has called me home.

I don’t understand why my Sovereign Lord has deigned to allow these terrible circumstances to transpire, but I do know that it is accord with His perfect and decreed will, and I accept it as from His hand. I remain convinced that He works ALL things together for the good of His chosen people (Romans 8:28). I also remain convinced that our duty is to stand and to do right and to fight the good fight, so long as we draw breath.

I endeavor to say with the Old Testament saint, Job: “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” (Job 13:15).

The time approaches when all will be set aright, until then, let us do our duty. And don't let them forget who you are!
