A Simple New Year’s Prayer for Us All

Hey y’all,

In lieu for a blog for this week I just want to send along a New Year’s prayer.

In 2022 may the Lord be pleased to keep us faithful unto Himself -- though it may entail many trials.

Acts 5:40-42
And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.  (41)  And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.  (42)  And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 1:5-6
Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:  (6)  Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

I believe if we are to be faithful to Him and to those for whom He has given us responsibility we MUST continue to resist the growing tyranny at all levels of government.

May it please Our Sovereign Lord to give us resolve and courage.

By His grace may we fight faithfully to the end.

2 Timothy 4:6-8
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.  (7)  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  (8)  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

On the eve of war in1861of our beloved Stonewall Jackson told the cadets at VMI: “The time for war has not yet come, but it will come, and that soon; and when it does come, my advice is to draw the sword and throw away the scabbard.”

I think the words are most appropriate for us in 2022!

God Bless you all in 2022!

Still Standing in Dixie and in Florida

Someday the last Confederate flag will be taken down in Florida.

Someday the last marking of Confederate Memorial Day will take place.

Someday Dixie will be sung for the very last time.

Someday the last positive reference to our Confederate forebears will be made.

Someday -- BUT NOT TODAY!!!

Not so long as I draw breath.

Not so long as others still honor and remember our ancestors and our heritage.

Not so long as we continue to reach at least some of the next generation with the truth and so long as God is pleased to plant that truth within their bosoms.

Much stands against us. My state is being invaded – invaded by yankees and other foreigners, by liberals, by free thinkers, by scoundrels and thieves, by fiscal conservative neo-cons, who haven’t a moral or principled bone in their body.

The invasion is being aided and abetted by folks like our supposedly “conservative” governor, who is being touted as the next contender to the throne, in the mold of that liberal New York yankee, Donald Trump.

(Mo)Ron Desantis has been encouraging the immigration of northerners who have some “conservative” inclinations, but who DO NOT share our culture, our morals, our faith, or our love for the South. He wants those who have become displeased with the hell-holes they have created on the Left Coast and in the North to come down and join us in Florida. You know, more $$$$ and more votes for (Mo)Ron!

Large swaths of land are being clear-cut in my rural county to make room to build houses for these yankee invaders.

The state of Florida is making plans to cut our county in half as they build a new limited access turnpike extension through my county, to facilitate the movement of these yankee invaders.

In May of 2019 I wrote a blog that addressed many of these issue, I include it below, with some appropriate updates.

But first I think it well that we reflect on the words of Pastor Robert Lewis Dabney (1820-1898) concerning the “American Conservatism” of his day. It has certainly not gotten any better:

“This is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is to-day one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will to-morrow be forced upon its timidity, and will be succeeded by some third revolution, to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it. . . . It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious, for the sake of the truth, and has no idea of being guilty of the folly of martyrdom.”

Carpetbaggers and Scalawags to Pave Over What’s Left of Rural Florida

I suppose it will not come as a surprise to anyone, but my beloved country (The Sovereign State of Florida) is occupied by and overrun with yankees and other aliens. To make matters worse greedy homegrown scalawags have joined the effort to turn all of Florida into a multi-cultural population dense nightmare, like unto the cities of Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville. These people have absolutely no respect for our rich rural and agrarian heritage, but they do faithfully worship the Almighty Dollar.

The most recent evidence was the signing into law of what has been called the  'Billionaire Boulevard' toll roads legislation by Governor Ron DeSantis. This legislation was pushed through by a legislature dominated by “Conservative Republicans” ” – you know, as in the party of the tyrant and merchantilist, Ape Lincoln. Yes, I realize that the Democrats are only worse, but what real difference does that make?

So, two new tolls roads and an expansion of an existing one are now slated to dismember and devastate several of Florida’s most rural counties, including my own. Ugly elongated scars will soon alter what remains of Old Florida. Yet the ever present carpetbaggers and the contemptible scalawags continue to assure me that this is “progress.” Well, I’ll tell you what, y’all can just keep your “progress.” I remember a Florida before all of this “progress” and I know it was an immensely better place than the one that now exists. I was here long before the rat (Mickey) came to Orlando and before he brought all that depravity and pestilence with him.

As far as I have been able to ascertain there has not been one word of protest from county or city elected officials in any of our rural counties. Like the gangsters in Tallahassee, the local politicians are in the pocket of the money worshipping Chamber of Commerce, and their ranks are filled with carpetbaggers and scalawags in pursuit of the God of Mammon. These people will leave nothing alone, not if they can turn a buck by disturbing it.

Unfortunately, since the yankee victory in 1865 this has been inevitable.

Some of us, however, will continue to resist and will continue to remember the Old Florida and our ancestors who valiantly fought against the yankee invasion of the 1860s, which has continued unabated up until the present time.

Until they have planted me, there will still be one unreconstructed Florida Cracker that will speak out against their evil designs.

God Save the South! God Save the Sovereign State of Florida!

Thanksgiving Thoughts from a Baptist and a Southerner

The veneration often heaped upon the Pilgrims and Puritans by my Baptist and Southern brethren is thing of great wonder to me. The yankee propaganda that is advanced as "history," honors these groups as defenders of Christian liberty. In reality they were the very opposite.

The yankee puritans persecuted anyone who did not conform to their own narrow and prejudiced views and this included all religious groups that were not them.

The following taken from D. B. Ray’s book, Baptist Secession, illustrates that point:

Poets and statesmen have united to swell the sounding praises of the May Flower and its cargo of Pilgrims, who only fled from persecution to become themselves the bitter persecutors of the hated Baptists . . . but, what bard, historian, or statesman, is kind enough to give the name, mark the course, and record the incidents of the voyage of that favored vessel, which conveyed the Welsh Tract church from the shores of Europe across the briny deep, to find a home in the deep, tangled forests of America, where they might unfurl the banner of religious liberty, which should never be stained by the foul blot of persecution? Or, who can furnish the history of that ship which bore the heroic John Clarke from London to the American shores?  Must it be left to ocean winds and waves to sing the praises of these pioneers of the Baptist denomination in America? Perchance these favored vessels were guarded in their perilous voyages by angelic legions, who have treasured up in the archives of heaven the details of the adventures and sufferings of the members of the “sect” which is every-where spoken against.

Ray was writing concerning John Clarke, who established the first Baptist church in America in 1638, and of the Welsh Tract Baptist Church which left Wales and came to America as a group in 1701.

You can read more of how Baptists were treated by the established Protestant churches in America in the brief tract entitled: "Protestant Persecution of Baptists in Early America."

As a Southerner, I am also aware that it was not the yankees, but my Southern forebears who first celebrated a Thanksgiving in America. Christopher M. Sullivan, Former Commander-in-Chief, Sons of Confederate Veterans reminds us:

Modern pundits often credit U.S. President Abraham Lincoln with proclaiming the first Thanksgiving Day. Or, even more prominently, we see the first Thanksgiving Day associated with the Pilgrims who settled at Plymouth Rock, in what is now Massachusetts.

Like so much of what we hear about American history this is simply wrong.

The first Thanksgiving in this country was, in fact, celebrated at Jamestown, Virginia in December 1607. The Berkley Plantation’s charter required that the day of the colonist’s safe arrival, “…shall be yearly and perpetually kept holy as a day of thanksgiving….” The sour-faced Pilgrims were still thirteen years into the future.

Of course, the politically correct love to point to the happy scene of the Pilgrims in their black garb, white collars and stiff hats, sitting at a grand banquet with the ruddy savages, all in all a scene of peace and ethnic tranquility. This joint celebration took place because the Pilgrims’ socialistic economic practices (i.e., a common storehouse) had driven them to the brink of starvation, before the Indians took pity and rescued them. If those Indians had only known . . .

But, despite all the credit incorrectly given to the Pilgrims of New England, it is President Lincoln who is oft credited with the first Thanksgiving proclamation because it began an unbroken string of such acts occurring in late November.

But Lincoln was not even the first president to do so since George Washington had issued such a proclamation in 1789. More to the point for us, Confederate President Jefferson Davis declared Friday, November 15, 1861 as, “…a day of national humiliation and prayer…,” — a full two years before Lincoln’s more famous declaration.

Now, Thanksgiving Day is little more than the opening day of shopping season. In 1861, however, it was a different story.

At the time he issued his proclamation, Pres. Davis understood the enormity of the danger the South was facing and his decision to call upon the, “. . . clergy and the people of these Confederate States to repair on that day to their homes and usual places of public worship, and to implore blessing of Almighty God upon our people, that he may give us victory over our enemies, preserve our homes and altars from pollution, and secure to us the restoration of peace and prosperity” was more than just a platitude.
(condensed)

I pray that y’all have a blessed Thanksgiving and that you are able to do so without venerating our yankee and puritan oppressors and persecutors.

We have much to be thankful for, particularly those of us who were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, through no merit of our own -- We who were given life and granted the twin gifts of repentance and faith by the Holy Spirit, with which we were brought to embrace the precious gospel of our salvation in the completed atonement of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Unto Him be all the glory and praise and thanksgiving!

Still Wearied by the Federal Footmen

NOTE: This is an update of a blog that was originally posted on November 9, 2018. Unfortunately, things have only gotten progressively worse since that time.

At the beginning of 2018 the Florida legislature passed and our governor signed into law the “Sunshine Protection Act.” This legislation was designed to keep Florida on Daylight Savings Time year around. However, this weekend folks across the state will once again move their clocks back one hour and transitioned from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time.

Why you may ask? Well, supposedly Florida needed the approval of the US Congress to make such a change and that thoroughly corrupt and worse than useless Congress never got around to lending its approval. So we have never obtained the “permission” of our Federal Feral masters.

If Florida still had any true statesmen, we would just have maintained Daylight Savings Time WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE FEDERAL LEVIATHAN! We just would have said: “Florida is staying on Daylight Saving Time anyway! We care nothing for the approval of the District of Corruption.”

Unfortunately, our state and local politicians are devoid of even the smallest grain of courage. And I ask you, if they cannot stand up to Federal tyranny over such a small matter as a time change, how can we ever expect them to stand up for more important things such as protecting life of the unborn, or our God-given rights to self-defense, or the Covid mandates, etc.?

The spineless cowards in Tallahassee cannot even run with Federal footmen (the infantry), so what will they do when the horses (the cavalry) arrives? I’ll tell you what they will do, they will turn tail and hide or join with our Federal despoilers.

Wearied by the footmen . . .

Jeremiah 12:5
If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?

Why do we even bother to maintain state and local governments, if we are to be ruled by the distant government in Washington? I suppose the local governments are farm teams to train men and women to take their part in Washington’s oligarchy against the people of the states.

And that, my friends, is why I will not vote for ANYONE running for office. None of them even understand the simple doctrine of NULLIFICATION, where local governments and states stand up for the rights of the governed and exert their self-determination, in spite of Federal dictates and threatenings. None of them care for their constituents. They serve not the people, but rather the central government.

So long as our supposed “leaders” do not have the gumption to stand up to Federal tyranny, even in the smallest of things, I see no prospect of avoiding our total enslavement. For all intents and purposes, we are already there.

In spite of all this, my trust remains in my Sovereign Lord who works all things for the good of His chosen people!

Our politicians may lack backbone and a sense of duty, but let us not join with them in their faithlessness by encouraging them with a vote of confidence!

I STILL DO NOT CONSENT!

What y'all done with my house? . . . Where is it? . . . Can y'all tell me that?

There is a scene in the movie Gods and Generals which is essentially a parable of our times.

I was particularly moved by it the first time I saw it and it has been very much on my mind again of recent days.

After the Battle of Fredericksburg Generals Lee, Longstreet, and Jackson lead the Confederate Army back through the city.

It is a disturbing scene of mass destruction, vandalism, pillage, destruction, and theft -- essentially everything that the Federal Army  and yankees in general are known for.

An obviously disoriented older gentleman approaches the Generals, who are on horseback and gives a brief monologue.

Yankees.

Everywhere.

Where y'all been?

Can't find my own house. Gone! Gone!

What y'all done with my house?

Where is it? Can y'all tell me that?

Well, can ya’? Can ya’?

Amerika has changed from what it was when I grew up in the 50s and 60s. I can’t recognize it anymore. I don’t know where to find it. I don’t know what’s been done with it.

“What y’all done with my house? Where is it?”

All the landscape has changed with the decline of amerika into Covid tyranny, sexual deviation, racial politics, etc.

I am now an old man. Sometimes, I feel that I am that old man in the streets of Fredericksburg.

I can’t find my house. It is gone forever. Normal is not coming back. The Great Reset has arrived.

But I don’t meekly accept that. I can’t accept it.

This week I also had thoughts of my own grandpa in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew (1992). He was born in Florahome, Florida in 1907. He was the real grandson of a Confederate soldier. He moved to South Florida with his family when he was a two year old, when it was still pretty much a wilderness. He lived there his entire life working as a farmer and later as an electrician.

After Hurricane Andrew everything changed. The landscape was largely unrecognizable and the old landmarks were gone. My grandpa became disoriented and essentially could not go on. He just shut down.

Me on the couch with my grandpa in Homestead, Florida,
probably 1953 or 1954 – enjoying our “white privilege”

What we are dealing with now is a disaster certainly of the magnitude of a Hurricane Andrew, but it encompasses the entire country, and it is man-made, if we discount the demonic forces behind those currently in power.

By the Grace of God, I don’t want to shut down. I want to fight on, but I still can’t find my house. It’s gone! gone! Never to be found again.

Once again the yankees have left nothing but death, destruction, and pillage in their wake.

But I know that my Lord will someday soon set the record straight and balance the books and restore all things.

Until then, I suppose, those words of that old man in the streets of Fredericksburg will keep playing over in my head. It’s like an “ear worm”, only worse!

I managed to extract a clip of that scene which you can view on my YouTube channel, if you like.
https://youtu.be/R-sCxCTr2_E

It’s not my intention, but this may haunt you as well . . .
