Responding to Gross Ignorance and Animosity

As many of you know, Free Florida First recently had a booth at the Williston Peanut Festival.

It did not take long to hear from an obviously low IQ individual, who was offended by our presence and our flags.

The Gainesville Sun is the local liberal rag of record, and they maintain a column called “Sound Off”, where folks can call in and leave brief comments on anything that happens to be on their little minds.

This Sunday’s edition of “Sound Off” contained the following posting:

The neo-Confederacy was on full display at last week’s Williston peanut festival. No doubt they had the full support of the local Chamber of Commerce. I wonder how African-Americans felt about the slavery flag flying.

Thus was opened an opportunity to respond. I certainly don’t expect to influence the individual who left the comment, but I pray that we might be able to reach some other folks that just might be ready to take a stand.

The paper limits “Letters to the Editor” to 150 words, so I had to be very careful in my response. Believe me, I wanted to say MUCH more, but past experience has taught me that they love to edit my letters to fit their agenda. So I responded in exactly 150 words. (I’m hoping they don’t count my signature lines):

Free Florida First’s presence at the Williston Peanut Festival was referenced in a recent "Sound Off." We are Confederates (not “neo-Confederates”) standing with our forebears for individual liberty and State sovereignty. We advocate for a free, independent, Godly, prosperous, and traditionally Southern Florida. Such would be a blessing to all Floridians, regardless of race or place of origin. Many of those manning our booth were born outside the South, but are now committed to our Cause. Our booth did not indicate the "full support" of the Chamber of Commerce any more than did the participation of both major political parties, various churches, etc. Had the poster stopped by our booth, I could have shared photos of several Black Confederate compatriots, who stand with us in support of the Confederate Flag. Indeed, one of my Black friends, Stanley K. Lott, wrote a book: “The American Flag is the Real Slave Flag.”

I’ll let y’all know what comes of it. I just now emailed them my letter. I don’t see how they can just ignore me, having published a comment from a detractor.

UPDATE: My letter was published in Thursday's paper (10/17). I’ll keep you advised of further reactions, I would expect that there will be some from the liberal college town of Gainesville.

Stand Up for Dixie!

I participated in a three gun match this past weekend at one of the local gun clubs that I’m a member of. The match is called EDC/Home Defense. It is designed to be shot at steel targets on our cowboy range with your EDC (every day carry) gun, a pistol caliber carbine, and a defensive shotgun.

Below are the guns that I shot this past Saturday.

One young lady, who often shoots with us, asked me if I normally dress “that way” and what sort of reactions I get. Those who know me will know what “that way” means, as I always have numerous Confederate items in my wardrobe -- usually a Confederate T-shirt, a Confederate belt buckle, and a Confederate cap. I even wear a Confederate tie with a Confederate belt buckle when I preach on Sundays.

I explained to the young lady that I do indeed dress like that almost always and that I do so hoping that someone might say something. Then I have the opportunity to share with them a card from Free Florida First and explain to them that we are striving for a Free, Independent, Godly, Prosperous, and Traditionally Southern Florida and a separation from the Federal Leviathan.

It’s true that I occasionally get some folks not too happy with me, but generally they just leer from afar. On only a few occasions has someone actually said something negative to me. Usually they are an obvious carpetbagger – not from around here – and they’ve never been inclined to enter into a discussion. They would rather just make their snide remarks and hurry on.

Anyway, I would encourage y’all to proudly stand for Southern Rights and to display the banners of your forefathers at your homes and on your persons.

As I mentioned in last week’s blog, that is what Free Florida First will be doing at the Central Florida Peanut Festival in Williston this Saturday (10/5/2019). Come on out and meet us, if you have the opportunity.

Free Florida First to Be at 31st Annual Peanut Festival -- Saturday, October 5, 2019

Lord willing, Free Florida First will have a booth at the 31^st Annual Central Florida Peanut Festival on Saturday, October 5, 2019. The festival will be held from 9am to 3pm at the Heritage Park in Williston, Florida.

We have had a booth at the Peanut Festival for many years now. It is an opportunity to get ourselves before the public and let folks know that some of us still strive to stand in the old ways and ask for the old paths. We proudly display the banners of our fathers and encourage our fellow Southerners to work with us for a Free, Independent, Godly, Prosperous, and Traditionally Southern Florida. Essentially, we just want to be free from the tyrannical government in DC (the District of Corruption) and be left alone to live our lives as we see fit.

So come on out to the Peanut Festival, visit with us, buy some flags, and then go home and fly them, to show your own commitment to liberty and truth.

If Not My Fellow Liberty-Loving Southerners and Christians, then Who?

I despair for what few freedoms we still enjoy in this land when I see my fellow liberty-loving Southerners and Christians continue in their unbridled support for the Lincoln-loving, anti-gun, pro-Empire, self-serving, “Orange Obama” currently occupying the White House.

When will Christians, Southerners, and conservatives wake up to the FACT that Donald J. Trump is no friend of liberty? I’m afraid that they'll be shouting: "He's just playing 4D chess,” as he lines them up against the wall before a firing squad. It's becoming increasingly more disheartening.

Have y’all been paying attention at all?

On August 5 Trump tweeted:

“We cannot let those killed in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, die in vain. Likewise for those so seriously wounded. We can never forget them, and those many who came before them. Republicans and Democrats must come together and get strong background checks.”

On the same day, he also affirmed that he was encouraging Congress to pass a “red flag” gun law. He said the law would address keeping firearms out of the hands of those with mental health issues.

Back on February 28, 2018 he said:

““I like taking the guns early, like in this crazy man’s case that just took place in Florida ... to go to court would have taken a long time . . . Take the guns first, go through due process second . . . Take the firearms first, and then go to court."

You do remember that his administration pushed through a bump stock ban after Trump announced:

“Bump stocks, we are writing that out. I am writing that out . . . I don’t care if Congress does it or not, I’m writing it out myself."

Concerning the banning of suppressors he has stated: "I don't like them at all . . . I did talk about the bump stock and we had it banned . . . I’m going to seriously look at it."

I could continue on, but really, if none of this sways you, I can’t think anything that will overcome your brainwashing. Very soon Trump will be coming for your magazines, your ammunition, and your semi-automatic firearms. And his minions will kill anyone who resists the tyranny and fails to comply. But I suppose you’ll keep on mumbling: “Well, he’s better than the alternative.”

Can’t you see that Donald Trump has actually imposed more gun control than the communists Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton could even have dreamed of?

Pretty soon just writing something like this blog will be enough to bring the jack-booted thugs to my door. Who knows, it may already be enough. But Lord willing I intend to keep on speaking the truth, and praying that the Lord may be pleased to open the eyes of some others, until I am no longer able to do so.

One thing I’m certain of, you’ll not be able to vote your way out of this one. Keep that in mind as the election hoopla increases about you.

Is the Answer to All of Our Problems to Be Found in Making Donald Trump Emperor for Life?

I recently read that Donald Trump has speculated that Americans might “demand” he occupy the White House for more than two terms. Of course, this is currently prohibited by the 22^nd Amendment to the Constitution, but the rule of law, or the Constitution, has never stood in the way of politicians.

I was astonished to see that some Trumpsters on social media actually think that the continued reign of Trump beyond eight years would be a wonderful Idea.

I actually found a petition online to repeal the 22^nd Amendment, so that this might be accomplished. Of course, there were also such petitions during the reign of Obama, the Benevolent.

Really, I could care less. My beloved Southland is under a continued occupation by an alien power and I long ago stopped participating in the sham elections conducted by the Evil Empire. There’s really not a dime’s worth of difference between Trump and Obama, or between Trump and Hillary. The actors may change, but the show goes on, always following the same script.

I know that there will never be any solutions out of DC -- not from a Marxist half-Kenyan mulatto -- and not from the current occupation of the White House, a liberal socialist New York yankee.

However, it must be acknowledged that Emperor Trump has accomplished much that Emperor Obama was not able to accomplish.

Already he has banned a firearm accessory (bump stocks) and made outlaws of an estimated 500,000 gun owners who have not surrendered their property to the authorities.

Already he has encouraged local “red flag” laws that have led to the confiscation of the firearms of law-abiding citizens without any due process -- and to the execution (by the militarized costumed state thugs) of some of those who might just someday be guilty of an as yet uncommitted crime. Furthermore, he and his minions continue to advocate for such a law at the federal level, which would no doubt lead to even more confiscations and even more deaths of those suspected of pre-crimes.

Why, even as I write these words, Emperor Trump is investigating how he might go about banning another already highly regulated firearm accessory -- suppressors (wrongly called “silencers”) – and making even more citizens into outlaws – or perhaps corpses.

Nor should we overlook his accomplishments in the economic realm. He has instigated trade wars and raised tariffs on foreign competitors (which are actually just more taxes paid by the American consumer), thus raising the cost of living for his average subject.

And who can forget his continued growing of the national debt, keeping apace with the actions of his immediate predecessors on the Imperial Throne and expanding the Military-Industrial Complex beyond its already gargantuan size.

And what of his constant meddling in the internal affairs of other countries and of his bringing us to the very brink of nuclear war?

I could well continue, but what Emperor Trump has been able to accomplish in less than two and one-half years is truly awe inspiring. I can only imagine what he might accomplish in another term or two or three or four or . . .

Really, fellow Southerners, fellow lovers of liberty, fellow Christians, it is time to realize that the deep and abiding problems of Amerika will not be solved by appealing to the existing political structure. It is far past that time.

So, stop wasting your time voting and promoting your chosen wing of the political vulture. Start separating from the evil regime. Don’t get caught up in the smoke and mirrors of the 2020 elections. Spend your time on something more productive – which would include just about anything else you could imagine.

Begin by separating from the empire in your own heart and mind and then seek to educate and encourage others.

Just say no to prostituting yourself by participating in the election of you next master. Just because they allow you to participate the choosing of your slave master does not mean you are free.

Stand, even if you must stand alone.
