Remembering Those Who Fought for Southern Independence

On April 23^rd and 24^th, Landmark Baptist Church and Free Florida First will jointly mark Confederate Memorial Day 2022.

According to Florida Statutes, Confederate Memorial Day is a recognized legal holiday.

In today’s political climate, it’s not surprising that attempts are made virtually every year to eliminate the Confederate Memorial Day holiday, but fortunately it has been avoided yet another year. But regardless of what carpetbagger and scalawag politicians may do, our celebration will continue on, by the Grace of God.

In 1900 a red St. Andrew’s cross was added to our Florida’s State Flag as a remembrance of our Confederate ancestors and defenders.

The Confederate soldier is most worthy of remembrance and recognition. Those soldiers fought in defense of their homes, their families, their way of life, and their state. In spite of the prevalent lie that the modern day storm troopers of the amerikan empire are fighting for our freedom, the truth is that the Confederate soldier was the last veteran to fight in defense of our God-given rights.

That amerikan empire is no less tyrannical today. So, more than a mere remembrance, we have dedicated ourselves to taking up the banners and the Cause of our Confederate forebears. We seek a truly Free, Independent, Godly, Prosperous, and Traditionally Southern Florida. 

You will find a large display of historical flags at our observance. You’ll see the Betsy Ross flag (designed by the Southerner, George Washington). You’ll see the 15 striped “Star-spangled Banner” of which Southerner Francis Scott Key wrote his memorable poem.  Ironically, the tyrant Ape Lincoln imprisoned two of Key’s grandsons within the walls of Fort McHenry when they spoke out against his unconstitutional and immoral invasion of the South. Mr. Key’s words ring hollow today.

You’ll see the Florida secession flag of Colonel William Chase, who removed the multiple stars of the failed union from the blue field of the US flag and replaced them with the single-star of a Sovereign and Independent Florida.

What you will NOT see are any modern US flags. We DO NOT honor the flag of the invaders of our country, not on this day – not on any other day. Nor will we ever pledge allegiance to the tyrannical union by reciting a “Pledge of Allegiance” written by a South hating, socialist yankee.

Above is a replica of the Battle Flag of Florida’s Marion Light Artillery, in which my G-G-Grandpa, Sergeant John Cauthen Strickland, served. As the banner declares, he fought for “God and Our Rights” as free men. By the Grace of God, we hope to continue that struggle against the increasingly evil and perverse amerikan empire.

Quite simply, when it comes to the striped rag of the amerikan empire: “Ain’t my flag; Ain’t my country.” It has not been so since 1861. It appears to me that the time is approaching when true Southerners will be called upon to fight against that banner once again.

In the words of Major Innes Randolph, C.S.A. (taken from his poem, “I’m a Good Ole’ Rebel”): “I hates the yankee nation and everything they do . . . I hates their striped banner, and . . . I'm glad I fit against it, I only wish we'd won, and I don't want no pardon for anything I done.”

From time to time, some folks will admonish us that the war is over and that we should simply forget and move on. We have no intention of doing so. We happen to agree with Pastor R. L. Dabney, who served as Chief of Staff for Lt. General T. J. “Stonewall” Jackson:

“What, forgive those people who invaded our country, burned our cities, destroyed our homes, slain our young men, and spread desolation and ruin over our land? No, I do not forgive them.”

Furthermore, it’s not over yet -- not by a long shot. It’s not over as long as there are any of us who remember. It is not over as long as there are any of us still committed to picking up the banner and the Cause of our fathers and to continuing their struggle for independence and self-determination. That is why they hate our banners, our monuments, our remembrances, and above everything else – why they hate us.

We pray along with our great chieftain, Robert E. Lee, that God may be pleased to “give us a name and a place among the nations of the earth.”

If you are likewise inclined, come out and mark this day with us. On Saturday there will be a special memorial service at our flag pole, followed by placing flags on Confederate soldiers’ graves in a local cemetery.

Sunday there will be a special Confederate Memorial Day church service, in which Pastor Wilson preach on the Christian symbolism of our Confederate Flags. Last year he portrayed Chaplain George Boardman Taylor and delivered a sermon from a tract that he had written for Confederate soldiers who were convalescing in the hospital.If you like, you can listen to last year's Confederate Memorial Day service here:

We do not mark this day simply because some of our ancestors served in the Confederate Armed Forces. Many who will celebrate with us have no Confederate ancestors. We mark this day because those who fought against the northern invasion were right in their actions and pure in their motives.

We do not seek simply to remember those who struggled against the yankee invaders, but  as our ancestors noted in the Declaration of Independence in the First War for Independence, “we mutually pledge to each other  our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor” in the struggle against Leviathan in the 21st Century.

Come out and encourage yourself and others as you fellowship with like-minded Southern patriots.

Farewell to Masks; Hello to a Bicolor Banner

For those who know me, this may sound a bit strange, but I’m actually kinda’ sad to see the masks fading away. They were a reliable way to sort out the folks you could probably rely on in virtually any circumstance that you found yourself in. It was very easy to distinguish the critical thinkers from the blind sheeple.

I’m not saying that the mask devotees were evil people, just that they were obviously very gullible and pliable, probably lacking any strong foundation or intellectual curiosity. The sort of folks you probably could not depend upon in a rough situation.

Now that the mask is falling into disuse, it can be more challenging to distinguish between the sheep and the lions on first glance. I have, however, found a new indicator that should prove to be just as reliable -- that being the blue and yellow bi-color of the Ukraine. Indeed the same folks who fell for the Covid narrative are now embracing the Ukrainian narrative that is being spun by the media and the U.S. government. The saddest part is that some folks who realized that the media and the government were lying about Covid are now believing every tall-tale that is being spun about the conflict in the Ukraine. I should not be surprised, but I would have hoped for better.

Understand that I have nothing but sympathy for the suffering people of the Ukraine and I recognize that Putin is a politician and, as such, is not to be trusted. But I also realize that the government of the Ukraine (represented by that blue and yellow flag) is a puppet of the evil amerikan empire. The current government there was set in place by the corrupt Obama administration in 2014, after manipulating the overturn of what was a duly elected government.

War is a terrible thing, as noted by General Robert E. Lee shortly after the Battle of Fredericksburg, Virginia in December of 1862:

“But what a cruel thing is war; to separate and destroy families and friends, and mar the purest joys and happiness God has granted us in this world; to fill our hearts with hatred instead of love for our neighbors, and to devastate the fair face of this beautiful world!”

So, I’ll not be flying the blue and yellow flag of the Ukraine; or the white, blue and red tri-color of Russia. Most particularly, I will not be flying the striped rag of the evil amerikan empire at whose feet most of the carnage in the Ukraine can be laid.

The only flags I intend to be flying for here on out will be those of the Confederate States of America – the only country I acknowledge.

Now I understand that the situation in the Ukraine is extremely complicated. No one really understands it all, but I’ll recommend just a couple of articles, should you be interested in educating yourself. I just caution you, once again, against believing ANYTHING you hear from the media or from the U.S. government. NOTE: I don’t necessarily agree with every word, but these articles are helpful and worthy of consideration.

On February 22, 1884 the magnificent statue to the Christian warrior, General Robert E. Lee was dedicated at Lee Circle in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Approximately 130 years later on May 19, 2017 it was removed at the order of evil, godless, and tyrannical politicians.

On January 22, 2022 the demonic monstrosity pictured below was erected in its place.

Are Big Achievements Really Being Made by Florida’s Neo-Con Governor?

I recently read an article lauding Governor Ron DeSantis for “six big achievements” in 2021.

Most of the points addressed put the most positive spins on actions that were far less than what should and could have been. I suppose that we true Floridians -- we true Southerners -- we true conservatives -- are supposed to be content with the crumbs that fall from the tables of our benevolent rulers.

(Mo)Ron DeSantis could be the very best governor in amerika, but that’s not saying much. He still falls far short. He remains a politician, a narcissist, a self-server, and a dirty rotten compromiser. He remains a vaccine pusher and a money grabbing petty tyrant. I’m not saying that I would trade him for any of the other petty tyrants, but I would trade him for a true Southern statesman.

If we continue to be content with “settling” for the lesser of two evils, we will continue to lose ground to collectivism, marxism, and yankeeism.

For the moment I will just consider the first supposed achievement listed in the Newsmax article:

1. Florida No. 1 in Migration, Population Growth

Florida was the top state in the country for population growth through migration, both foreign and domestic.

Census Bureau data showed 220,890 people moved to Florida from other states, Washington, D.C, or Puerto Rico, making it the nation's top destination for domestic migration. The Sunshine State's population also added 38,590 immigrants, the most in the nation.

Excuse me; this is supposed to be a good thing?? This is supposed to be an achievement??

(Mo)Ron DeSantis has managed to further erode what was left of the Southern character of Florida and has promoted yankee and foreign Neo-Conservativism with all this unlimited immigration to our fair state.

Because of this and because of the brainwashing of our own youth in the government’s schools, the goals of the Reconstruction period are finally being fully realized in Florida, and the other Southern states.

We worship Lincoln and his mercantilistic (fascist) party.

We wrap ourselves in the striped rag of the evil amerikan empire.

We send our sons and daughters to “serve” in the empire’s immoral and tyranny enforcing military.

Every inch of undeveloped land still in its natural state is being clear-cut and raped to make room for more developments to house more yankees and more foreigners.

My own rural county is slated to be sliced in half to make room for a new limited-access highway to facilitate the travel of all these new invaders.

And we are supposed to count this as a “big achievement” and rejoice in the influx of new “conservatively minded” people from around the globe.

So tell me then, when can I expect to see the flag of my Confederate ancestors returned to the capitol building in Tallahassee? When can I expect to see the Confederate monuments that were removed or destroyed restored to their proper places? When can I expect to see schools like the one I attended as a teenager once again honor our Confederate heritage? [NOTE: Before a family move, I attended South Dade High School, “The Rebels”. Our band wore Confederate uniforms. We proudly played Dixie and waved the Confederate Battle Flag at our games, etc. – now they are “The Buccaneers.”]

Does DeSantis desire to see any of these things restored? What about these new residents of Florida? These people [including (Mo)Ron DeSantis] are not like us. Most of them have no desire to be like us. Most of them will NEVER truly acclimate; rather they will attempt to transplant the hell-holes they came from to our Florida landscape.

So excuse me while I refrain from applauding and refuse to be an accomplice to the rape of my native state.

A Simple New Year’s Prayer for Us All

Hey y’all,

In lieu for a blog for this week I just want to send along a New Year’s prayer.

In 2022 may the Lord be pleased to keep us faithful unto Himself -- though it may entail many trials.

Acts 5:40-42 
And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.  (41)  And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.  (42)  And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 1:5-6 
Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:  (6)  Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

I believe if we are to be faithful to Him and to those for whom He has given us responsibility we MUST continue to resist the growing tyranny at all levels of government.

May it please Our Sovereign Lord to give us resolve and courage.

By His grace may we fight faithfully to the end.

2 Timothy 4:6-8 
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.  (7)  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  (8)  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

On the eve of war in1861of our beloved Stonewall Jackson told the cadets at VMI: “The time for war has not yet come, but it will come, and that soon; and when it does come, my advice is to draw the sword and throw away the scabbard.”

I think the words are most appropriate for us in 2022!

Still Standing in Dixie and in Florida

Someday the last Confederate flag will be taken down in Florida.

Someday the last marking of Confederate Memorial Day will take place.

Someday Dixie will be sung for the very last time.

Someday the last positive reference to our Confederate forebears will be made.

Someday -- BUT NOT TODAY!!!

Not so long as I draw breath.

Not so long as others still honor and remember our ancestors and our heritage.

Not so long as we continue to reach at least some of the next generation with the truth and so long as God is pleased to plant that truth within their bosoms.

Much stands against us. My state is being invaded – invaded by yankees and other foreigners, by liberals, by free thinkers, by scoundrels and thieves, by fiscal conservative neo-cons, who haven’t a moral or principled bone in their body.

The invasion is being aided and abetted by folks like our supposedly “conservative” governor, who is being touted as the next contender to the throne, in the mold of that liberal New York yankee, Donald Trump.

(Mo)Ron Desantis has been encouraging the immigration of northerners who have some “conservative” inclinations, but who DO NOT share our culture, our morals, our faith, or our love for the South. He wants those who have become displeased with the hell-holes they have created on the Left Coast and in the North to come down and join us in Florida. You know, more $$$$ and more votes for (Mo)Ron!

Large swaths of land are being clear-cut in my rural county to make room to build houses for these yankee invaders.

The state of Florida is making plans to cut our county in half as they build a new limited access turnpike extension through my county, to facilitate the movement of these yankee invaders.

In May of 2019 I wrote a blog that addressed many of these issue, I include it below, with some appropriate updates.

But first I think it well that we reflect on the words of Pastor Robert Lewis Dabney (1820-1898) concerning the “American Conservatism” of his day. It has certainly not gotten any better:

“This is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is to-day one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will to-morrow be forced upon its timidity, and will be succeeded by some third revolution, to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it. . . . It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious, for the sake of the truth, and has no idea of being guilty of the folly of martyrdom.”

Carpetbaggers and Scalawags to Pave Over What’s Left of Rural Florida

I suppose it will not come as a surprise to anyone, but my beloved country (The Sovereign State of Florida) is occupied by and overrun with yankees and other aliens. To make matters worse greedy homegrown scalawags have joined the effort to turn all of Florida into a multi-cultural population dense nightmare, like unto the cities of Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville. These people have absolutely no respect for our rich rural and agrarian heritage, but they do faithfully worship the Almighty Dollar.

The most recent evidence was the signing into law of what has been called the  'Billionaire Boulevard' toll roads legislation by Governor Ron DeSantis. This legislation was pushed through by a legislature dominated by “Conservative Republicans” ” – you know, as in the party of the tyrant and merchantilist, Ape Lincoln. Yes, I realize that the Democrats are only worse, but what real difference does that make?

So, two new tolls roads and an expansion of an existing one are now slated to dismember and devastate several of Florida’s most rural counties, including my own. Ugly elongated scars will soon alter what remains of Old Florida. Yet the ever present carpetbaggers and the contemptible scalawags continue to assure me that this is “progress.” Well, I’ll tell you what, y’all can just keep your “progress.” I remember a Florida before all of this “progress” and I know it was an immensely better place than the one that now exists. I was here long before the rat (Mickey) came to Orlando and before he brought all that depravity and pestilence with him.

As far as I have been able to ascertain there has not been one word of protest from county or city elected officials in any of our rural counties. Like the gangsters in Tallahassee, the local politicians are in the pocket of the money worshipping Chamber of Commerce, and their ranks are filled with carpetbaggers and scalawags in pursuit of the God of Mammon. These people will leave nothing alone, not if they can turn a buck by disturbing it.

Unfortunately, since the yankee victory in 1865 this has been inevitable.

Some of us, however, will continue to resist and will continue to remember the Old Florida and our ancestors who valiantly fought against the yankee invasion of the 1860s, which has continued unabated up until the present time.

Until they have planted me, there will still be one unreconstructed Florida Cracker that will speak out against their evil designs.
