Remembering Our Confederate Forebears

Last week I posted an invitation to our Confederate Memorial Day observances to be held this Saturday and Sunday (April 24 & 25).

Recently my wife and I changed flags at the cemetery where many of my Confederate ancestors and relatives are buried at Paran Baptist Church, near Grandin, Florida. [NOTE: As a bonus, we ate dinner at a small restaurant in Melrose, and I had a big delicious plate of frog legs!]

My wife and I have plots in the Paran Cemetery, directly behind my GGG-Grandpa (Malachi N. Strickland), who was one of the founding pastors of the church in 1856, and close to the grave of his son, my GG-Grandpa (John Cauthen Strickland) who was a sergeant in the Marion Light Artillery. His wife was the daughter of my GGG-Grandpa Marshall Seigler, who served in Co. G, 5^th Florida Cavalry Battalion.

We replaced flags on a total of 11 Confederate graves, a good number of them being my relatives.

April is Confederate History Month. You are welcome to mark it by coming out to our little Confederate Memorial Day observances.

Invitation to Confederate Memorial Day 2021 at Landmark Baptist Church

Remembering Those Who Fought for Southern Independence

On April 24^th and 25^th, Landmark Baptist Church and Free Florida First will jointly mark Confederate Memorial Day 2021.

According to Florida Statutes, Confederate Memorial Day is a recognized legal holiday.

In today’s political climate, it’s not surprising that attempts are made virtually every year to eliminate the Confederate Memorial Day holiday, but fortunately it has been avoided yet another year. But regardless of what carpetbagger and scalawag politicians may do, our celebration will continue on, by the Grace of God.

In 1900 a red St. Andrew’s cross was added to our Florida’s State Flag as a remembrance of our Confederate ancestors and defenders.

The Confederate soldier is most worthy of remembrance and recognition. Those soldiers fought in defense of their homes, their families, their way of life, and their state. In spite of the prevalent lie that the modern day storm troopers of the amerikan empire are fighting for our freedom, the truth is that the Confederate soldier was the last veteran to fight in defense of our God-given rights.

That amerikan empire is no less tyrannical today. So, more than a mere remembrance, we have dedicated ourselves to taking up the banners and the Cause of our Confederate forebears. We seek a truly Free, Independent, Godly, Prosperous, and Traditionally Southern Florida. 

You will find a large display of historical flags at our observance. You’ll see the Betsy Ross flag (designed by the Southerner, George Washington). You’ll see the 15 striped “Star-spangled Banner” of which Southerner Francis Scott Key wrote his memorable poem.  Ironically, the tyrant Ape Lincoln imprisoned two of Key’s grandsons within the walls of Fort McHenry when they spoke out against his unconstitutional and immoral invasion of the South. Mr. Key’s words ring hollow today.

You’ll see the Florida secession flag of Colonel William Chase, who removed the multiple stars of the failed union from the blue field of the US flag and replaced them with the single-star of a Sovereign and Independent Florida.

What you will NOT see are any modern US flags. We DO NOT honor the flag of the invaders of our country, not on this day – not on any other day. Nor will we ever pledge allegiance to the tyrannical union by reciting a “Pledge of Allegiance” written by a South hating, socialist yankee.

Above is a replica of the Battle Flag of Florida’s Marion Light Artillery, in which my G-G-Grandpa, Sergeant John Cauthen Strickland, served. As the banner declares, he fought for “God and Our Rights” as free men. By the Grace of God, we hope to continue that struggle against the increasingly evil and perverse amerikan empire.

Quite simply, when it comes to the striped rag of the amerikan empire: “Ain’t my flag; Ain’t my country.” It has not been so since 1861. It appears to me that the time is approaching when true Southerners will be called upon to fight against that banner once again.

In the words of Major Innes Randolph, C.S.A. (taken from his poem, “I’m a Good Ole’ Rebel”): “I hates the yankee nation and everything they do . . . I hates their striped banner, and . . . I'm glad I fit against it, I only wish we'd won, and I don't want no pardon for anything I done.”

From time to time, some folks will admonish us that the war is over and that we should simply forget and move on. We have no intention of doing so. We happen to agree with Pastor R. L. Dabney, who served as Chief of Staff for Lt. General T. J. “Stonewall” Jackson:

“What, forgive those people who invaded our country, burned our cities, destroyed our homes, slain our young men, and spread desolation and ruin over our land? No, I do not forgive them.”

Furthermore, it’s not over yet -- not by a long shot. It’s not over as long as there are any of us who remember. It is not over as long as there are any of us still committed to picking up the banner and the Cause of our fathers and to continuing their struggle for independence and self-determination. That is why they hate our banners, our monuments, our remembrances, and above everything else – why they hate us.

We pray along with our great chieftain, Robert E. Lee, that God may be pleased to “give us a name and a place among the nations of the earth.”

If you are likewise inclined, come out and mark this day with us. On Saturday there will be a special memorial service at our flag pole, followed by placing flags on Confederate soldiers’ graves in a local cemetery.

Sunday there will be a special Confederate Memorial Day church service, in which Pastor Wilson will portray a Confederate Chaplain. Last year he presented a message from Pastor John Lafayette Girardeau.

We do not mark this day simply because some of our ancestors served in the Confederate Armed Forces. Many who will celebrate with us have no Confederate ancestors. We mark this day because those who fought against the northern invasion were right in their actions and pure in their motives.

We do not seek simply to remember those who struggled against the yankee invaders, but  as our ancestors noted in the Declaration of Independence in the First War for Independence, “we mutually pledge to each other  our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor” in the struggle against Leviathan in the 21st Century.

Come out and encourage yourself and others as you fellowship with like-minded Southern patriots.

The Wicked Cowards in Our Midst

 Proverbs 28:1
The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

The DC crowd seems frightened to death of some deplorable Boogie Man. They are looking over their shoulders, deploying troops in the streets, and stringing razor wire to make safe their compound of evil in Babylon on the Potomac.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is running scared of catching “cooties” – well that’s what we called them when I was young – now they call it the “Covid”.

They lock themselves away. They cover their faces with hideous and useless “face diapers.” They aggressively pursue  the “holy jab” -- something composed of an ungodly chemical/genetic mess that has not been properly tested.

Those would-be rulers in the seats of power and most of the amerikan populace are simply terrified cowards. But don’t fool yourself, those terrified cowards are capable of doing unspeakably evil things. In fact, it is almost certain that they will.

But still, you need not be like unto them. You need not fear.

Consider the Word of the Lord to Isaiah:

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

You have no need of more than this!

By the grace of God, the time has come to stand and face down the cowards!

Maskless in Levy County

I have to admit that it becomes increasingly difficult for me to trust anyone that dons the ever-present “face diaper.”

It may not be entirely fair, but I cannot help but question their reasoning and their courage.

Some have swallowed the entire Covid narrative and believe everything that proceeds from the mouth of Tony Fauci and the healthcare establishment. You do realize that almost all of those making the Covid pronouncements cannot even distinguish between and man and a woman and cannot discern that a baby in womb is a living human being? Yet many who claim to be “conservatives” hang on their every word.

The same holds true for those who have willing submitted themselves to being injected with a “vaccine” – that is not really a “vaccine” and which has not been properly tested and approved -- and all to “protect” themselves from something that is little more lethal than the yearly flu. No one knows the long-term consequences of these injections, as they have been “approved” for “Emergency Use Only”.

Most of the masked masses give me a silent glare, though without being able to see their faces it’s difficult to discern their true emotions. How many of them will gladly report my non-compliance to those authorities that they are so in awe of?

There are a few who seem to be convicted or encouraged by my maskless face. Some have said as much. Hopefully some will be encouraged to join the ranks of the free men and free women.

I will not comply! I will not submit! Should someone attempt to force my vaccination, I will consider it to be an assault with a deadly weapon, and will respond to it as such. That’s all I have to say about that . . .

Above is a photograph of yours truly, taken at last year’s Confederate Memorial Day – sans any mask. I ain’t much to look at, but I’ll tell you this, there are NO pictures of me in a mask – AND -- there will be NONE!

So if I’m out and about and happen to need some sort of assistance, I will be looking for someone who does not have their face hidden behind a mask, who is not wearing the mark of subjection, and who openly displays their willingness to resist our would-be masters.

If you’re not standing against this tyranny now -- I have no confidence that you will stand against the intensified tyranny that will soon be upon us.  Perhaps I’ll have more to say about all this in the future. For now, I’ll close with a thought from Scripture.

Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  

P.S. – I usually share my blogs with several “Confederate” groups of which I am a member. Perhaps some will think that this has no connection to the Confederacy. Perhaps, if those folks cannot see the connection, I’m not really interested in associating with them anyway . . .

Now is not the time to throttle yourself!

With the rise of the cancel culture and with the new regime in Washington accusing all those who lean even slightly to the right of being “domestic terrorists,” it seems that many within the broader liberty community are beginning to throttle themselves and lay low.

As an infantry officer in the empire’s Marine Corps I would often advise my troops to “stay off the skyline.” That may have been good military tactics, but taking such an action in today’s world prevents us from having any impact. It prevents us from reaching and encouraging others. It prevents us from serving as examples to others. Now is not the time to lay low, or to stay off the skyline.

Now is the time to take a stand and to distinguish and separate ourselves from the sheeple.

Here’s just a few ideas off the top of my head:

1. Don’t fly the empire’s striped rag and certainly don’t recite the socialistic pledge.

2. Do fly the beautiful Confederate Battle Flag as a symbol of resistance to tyranny.

3. Don’t wear a face diaper (mask). It accomplishes NOTHING, but displays your abject subjection to your would-be masters.

4. Don’t be railroaded into taking an untested and potentially dangerous vaccine.

5. Do speak out against tyranny at every opportunity.

6. Do take every opportunity to encourage others who are resisting the tyranny.

7. Don’t live in fear!

8. Do all you can to ignore the illegal and immoral dictates of the illegitimate state.

If you’re not on the empire’s watch list you are probably not doing your part to preserve liberty.

Don’t get me wrong, I understand that the tyrants have the troops and the police and the equipment and the prisons and the courts. Sometimes we must exercise some measure of discretion and discernment. BUT do all you can to be a persistent and bothersome thorn in the side of the tyrants.

A final thought. You cannot avoid conflict forever, and even if you could, you probably shouldn’t.

At the Battle of Belleau Wood during World War I, then GySgt. Dan Daly was one of only two Marines to have been awarded two Medals of Honor. Daly called upon his Marines of follow him in a charge of the German position shouting: “Come On, You Sons of Bitches, Do You Want to Live Forever?”

Life is certainly a wonderful gift from God, but there are things more important than life.

Doing our duty is certainly one of those more important things.

The “Cancel Culture”

Make no mistake the “Cancel Culture” is out to silence you, eradicate your culture, and finally completely remove you.

Yes, they hate our flag, our culture, our history, our monuments, our heroes, our ancestors, and our faith – BUT more than anything else, they hate us and just want us eliminated.

The left is in the process of removing any dissent. The Social Media Giants have even silenced someone as powerful as the President of the United States. Now, I have never had any confidence whatsoever in Donald Trump. I continue to suspect that he is an obedient tool of the deep state. If not that, then an ignorant one. But the fact that he has been silenced by likes of Twitter, Facebook, etc. should give us some clue as what is in store for all us “deplorables” and “incorrigibles.”

I am not a prophet, nor am I a son of prophet, but the rising specter of censorship should be obvious to even the most obtuse observer. Ultimately they will not be content with silencing us. We will have to be incarcerated and reeducated, and should that prove unsuccessful we will simply be “erased.”

By the Grace of God, I intend to RESIST to the utmost of my ability, as He is pleased to enable me.

I know not what the future may hold. But I certainly know the One who holds the future and my complete trust resides in Him.

I just pray that He will allow me to stand.

Some brief thoughts on what I call “amerika”

Truth is, I try not to give it a whole lot of thought, except when it infringes on my own liberty. But those infringements become more and more prevalent with each passing day.

For a long time now I’ve been saying: “Ain’t my flag; Ain’t my country.”

I realize that my sentiments do not always endear me to folks. But those words express the innermost convictions of my heart – now more than ever.

I understand that most of you may not be there yet. But I cannot help but hope that many of you will come to these same beliefs, sooner rather than later. I’m not arguing to convince you of them. That’s way above my paygrade. I do believe that God brought me to my convictions and I’m thankful that He did.

One thing for sure, the liberal New York yankee, Donald Trump, was NEVER the answer. Perhaps it is well that the air has been let out of that balloon.

I only pray that good Southern folk will stop looking to politics and politicians for answers. Certainly it is apparent that no solutions will come from Babylon-on-the-Potomac. Participating in the elections of our yankee occupiers accomplishes NOTHING!

I don’t deny that we need society and community, but those things are only found locally. Let us look for servants rather that rulers or dictators. Let us keep those to whom we give responsibility at arm’s length, where they can be held accountable – and grasped about the neck, if need be.

Church and family are the only real answers!

I could care less about what transpires in DC or in Congress, or in the White House, or in the so-called “Supreme Court” (rest assured, those black-robed tyrants will find out about the REAL Supreme Court soon enough!)

I don’t need to be “governed”, except by the Lord. I need to be LEFT ALONE by petty and evil tyrants.

I’m thankful that I have not flown a striped US rag for many years now and that I have not chanted the socialistic pledge to that rag for even longer.

Excuse or ignore my ramblings, if you are so inclined. This is what is upon my heart for whatever little it may be worth.

UPDATE (in the light of the DC protests):

Since writing my blog, the Pro-Trump protests in DC unfolded and unraveled. I think it appropriate for me to append these additional comments. Take them for whatever they may be worth.

I suspect that most of what took place in DC was part of a deep state false flag operation. This is not to say that many innocent folks were not caught up in it. The obvious example was the unarmed 14-year Air Force veteran who was killed by Capitol Police. Please understand that I’m not casting any aspersion on her, but there is a lesson here. Be very careful of inserting yourself into situations where you are at the mercy of others. Joining a street demonstration puts you at the mercy of infiltrators and agent provocateurs as well as the unknown responses that may come from those in authority.

In these sorts of situations it pays to ask yourself, cui bono? So who benefited from what happened in DC? Was it not the deep state? Now there will be no serious investigation of election irregularities and there is yet another opportunity to disparage those whom the left calls “deplorables.” So the deep state benefits, and you and I, and the cause of liberty suffer.

Understand also, when I speak of the deep state, I include Mr. Trump. Even if he is given every benefit of the doubt he is, at the very least, a useful idiot.

Also I’m not thrilled to see the flag of my country (The CSA) borne by Trumpster thugs (or whatever they actually were). There’s no doubt much afoot there as well. 

So I reiterate. Ain’t my flag; Ain’t my country. Ain’t my circus; Ain’t my monkeys. Ain’t my rodeo; Ain’t my clowns.

Too many holes in the entire thing. I don’t claim to understand it all, but this I know -- My Sovereign Lord reigns.
